Catherine Dee trained in New York City at the oldest acting conservatory in America, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She was an Apprentice Company Member at The Horizon Theatre Group in Atlanta, GA. She is now an Equity Member Candidate and works with over a dozen theaters in the South East.

Catherine Dee has worked on many film projects as an actress, director, and producer. Kat met her partner, Fray Forde, while co-directing and producing a sci-fi short film series entitled "The Smoke Trilogy."
The couple teamed up to create the award winning film Good Hair that screened at the worlds largest comedy festival Montreal’s Just for Laughs. Good Hair was screened at over a dozen festivals access the world including academy qualifying festivals like Heartland Film Festival.
Catherine Dee Holly and Fray Forde aim to showcase small-town life with their debut feature film “Pop-Pop is Dead.” The southern comedy tells the story of millennial couple Layla Bailey (Holly) and Desi West (Forde) as they return to Layla’s hometown of Gaffney, South Carolina to mourn the loss of family patriarch “Pop Pop.” As the couple struggles to survive three days with Layla’s dysfunctional Southern family they quickly come to learn that funerals ain’t fun.
